At midnight tonight, Amazon Teamsters of ALU-IBT Local 1 at the JFK8 warehouse in Staten Island will join the historic national strike against Amazon. The CPUSA stands in solidarity with JFK8 and all Amazon workers who are standing up for their rights and the rights of the entire working class this holiday season.

Amazon, despite bringing in hundreds of billions of dollars this year, does not provide its drivers and warehouse workers with fair wages for their hard work. Workers at Amazon are frequently subjected to dangerous work environments and face a higher amount of workplace injuries compared to workers at other companies.

The CPUSA has a deep appreciation of ALU-IBT Local 1. They were the first Amazon facility to successfully win a union election in 2022.

BREAKING: Donald Trump lets the cat out of the bag on grocery prices — admits that he probably won't be able to lower them despite claiming he would.

If you fell for his MAGA promises, we've got a bridge to sell you...

"If the prices of groceries don’t come down, will your presidency be a failure?" Trump was asked by Time magazine.

"I don’t think so. Look, they got them up. I’d like to bring them down," replied Trump. "It’s hard to bring things down once they’re up. You know, it’s very hard. But I think that they will."

The truth, of course, is that the president has little direct control over grocery prices. President Biden managed to wrestle down inflation after COVID, but he couldn't wave a wand and lower prices.

On top of that, these corporations — who have the blessing and backing of the Republican Party — are engaged in shameless price gouging against American consumers.

Trump won't be able to bring our grocery prices down, but in the end he doesn't care. He got elected on lies and no matter how disastrous his second term turns out to be, he'll claim it was a historic success.
