Literary Magazine with digital publications and print anthologies. Executive Editor @KerriFFWriter
"When you let go of what you are, you become what you might be. When you let go of what you have, you receive what you need. The world opens not to those who clutch tightly, but to those who trust the flow."
— Lao Tzu
A study by Brian Porter and Edouard Machery signals a disruption in the realm of literary artistry: A.I. now produces poetry so indistinguishable from human verse that readers fail to discern the difference and frequently ascribe greater merit to AI-generated compositions.
This raises questions: Have we entered an era in which algorithms rivals human ingenuity? Or does this study reveal a shift in aesthetic sensibilities, where accessibility and spoon-fed polish eclipse the virtues of interpretive depth and linguistic challenge?
It is my hope that this space will remain a sanctuary for thoughtful reflection, shared insights, and the celebration of creativity in all its forms.
I look forward to the journey ahead and am excited to invite you along for what’s to come.
When I founded Crack the Spring in 2011, I could never have anticipated the profound relationships, the stunning artistry, and the sense of community that would emerge from that humble endeavor. What began as a literary magazine quickly became much more than I envisioned--
In the coming weeks, I will be reimagining this social media account, shifting its focus to explore critical issues, engage with contemporary research, and support the ongoing dialogue that shapes the world around us.
Honored to have "Celestial Navigation" appear in this final (for now) issue of @CrackTheSpine. Many thanks and best wishes for future endeavors! https://t.co/wDNTSS8KLc
