100 years of Miles Davis.
Born on May 26, 1926, Davis was a force to be reckoned with from the start. A fierce bandleader and restless innovator, he helped define the sound of multiple movements in jazz, from bebop and cool jazz to hard bop, modal jazz, and electric fusion.
It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of Sonny Rollins. The Saxophone Colossus died this afternoon at his home in Woodstock, NY at the age of 95. 1/2 https://t.co/6AGmFrB7x4
