@MelRoeSJSU I love that they repost patron responses! I love seeing that in Instagram stories. It’s really nice to actually see the community interacting with the library and getting excited enough to post about it!
@BookishKimB I agree that people have become accustomed to quick information, and that can become an issue if they are not being mindful of where their information is coming from. That is when we get unsourced, unfounded information circulating as fact.
Information Seekeing Behaviors have changed since Web 2.0 has been developed because now information available is expanding daily and students must be more aware of sourcing their information correctly and filtering out incorrect information from factual findings. #INFO246w73
One of my favorite library Instagram accounts is from the San Diego County Library. They are great about sharing what is happening at their libraries in quick, entertaining posts. They are engaging, colorful and always include a call to action link to register. #INFO246w626
@naesniche Hi, Renee. I also have been known to throw on a random video in the background while I do homework or clean the house. It sounds counter intuitive but I am most productive when I have some sort of background noise! #INFO246w619
@t4421n Absolutely! There is a wealth of ideas on Pinterest. I run a children’s STEAM program and often use interest to get inspiration for my next event! The experiments available on the site are so great and I’ve made a board for every program I lead! #INFO246w619
The social media tool I use most both personally and professionally is Pinterest. I lead four programs for various ages and crafts are a big part of what I do. Pinterest allows me to find ideas, get inspiration and create boards to run those programs. #INFO246w619
Hi everyone, my name is Jessica and I live in La Habra, California. It’s a small city right on the edge of LA and Orange County. Something fun our city does is an annual Corn Festival in the fall full of games, rides, food and live music!
@ebaereads Hi! I live quite close to LA and I love visiting Universal Studios, though I haven’t gotten the chance to explore the more cultural districts there. I’m hoping to head up there and visit some this summer :)
