Fond of learning, reading, and the pursuit of The Craft. Or at least bettering my own personal application of crafty skills. And a few more nerdy things too.
Had a #glitch happen towards the tail end of the anniversary event for #jetpackjoyride & the obstacles stopped spawning. Out of #curiosity I decided to see how far it would go. The counter goes way higher than I thought, I tapped out at 1M. Some of the screenshots I took during
Came across a little friend this morning. Caught the little fella rooting around for some #breakfast. #critters#armadillos#wildlife Took several pictures while I spent a good 15+ minutes just watching. I attached as much of my recording as I could.
Watching the new #homesteadrescue and it's heartbreaking to see them watch what they've put so much effort in making a home burn. Marty is just in on visible shock.
Frank got scared by the #thunder outside and decided to slide up next to me #onthecouch. While Tiger doesn't even care as he lays with his gathered toys. #dogs#stormyweather
@ash_pea22 Historical Martial arts and the forging of the weapons to practice with is one of those perfect overlaps of exercise and positive avenue for emotional release.
I always like when the #finale weapon is some type of pole arm. That particular variety of weapon doesn't always get the #Recognition for how important they could be in a battle. #ForgedinFire
I love how for the entire series they say quenching in water is #risky, but that's this episode's challenge. Most modern steel alloys are not designed to be water quenched. I understand mild steels, wrought iron, & #oldschool bloom steel are the main exceptions. #ForgedinFire
Tiger wishes he was a smaller #dog. He likes to try and get under furniture. Here he is laying on my feet while I sit at my desk. Now I'm #trapped while he's taking a #nap.
I wanted something like that too. I'm not an expert but I believe the Inuit and other peoples living in the far north have some interesting traditional spears and such. The Seax is one of the go too designs the smiths use in the early rounds.
I mean it's not that vikings aren't cool, but one of my favorite parts about #ForgedinFire is when they bring up less well known weapons. Especially with novel shapes and history. A large Seax #finaleweapon it would better fit with a Saxon themed episode. #MissedOpportunity
#HotSpots and #Blisters they cause are a problem anytime. Can't imagine taking off my boots or gloves in freezing weather to address that. #Shivers Then again I prefer hot over cold weather anyway. #ForgedinFire
Told the wife that I would be #disappointed if the #ForgedinFire finale weapon on this episode wasn't some type of pick or harpoon. Seems like to me that it would fit with the theme they're going with this episode. A #unusual weapon would work too.
