Been trying to practice some observational drawing lately, hence why I haven't been as active on Twitter lately.

But I can share to you a quick glimpse of some of the things I've been trying to practice so far. It's mainly simplifying complex things into basic shapes.

I cringe at some of the stuff I did a few years ago, like when I was on Deviantart at that time posting art. Hell, I even cringe at some things I did last year.

@AvalonUrsano These look more dynamic than last time. The line of action here is a lot more obvious and stronger. I can see you're starting to push it better now.

@BN37Studios Get yourself a sketchbook and some beginner drawing books. Learn the fundamentals of art and practice them continuously. Real improvement will follow from things like practicing boxes, cylinders, still life, landscape, figure drawing and so on. At least that's what I'm doing now.

Few options I can suggest. You take a break, refresh your mind, and come back to it when you feel ready. Another option is to work on your art basics. Start simple like drawing basic shapes on paper, then draw real things around you.

@AvalonUrsano @RealVamps13 Not a problem! I'm happy you love them. Keep in mind that there's probably several other ways to design him, and not just how I did it. You might want to check out the book The Silver Way by Stephen, sorry for not mentioning it before.

@AvalonUrsano In general, don't make everything look too symmetrical. Give variety to things like shape size, proportions and angles. Give clarity to the big shapes and the small shapes.

@AvalonUrsano I've given you a few pointers to keep in mind with your character. Just a heads up that I'm still learning this myself and not a complete expert at designing right now, so you may disagree with some things I've mentioned. These are just some things I've noticed myself.

@AvalonUrsano If you don't mind me asking, how were you normally practicing before? Did you just look at some tutorials on YouTube or something?
