It’s bittersweet for Graham Huffman, taking the next step in his racing career by competing in his first 410 sprint car race tomorrow at @atticaracewyprk without him, but what a way to honor his Grandpa!

Farewell, racer.

Terry Pletch passed away today at the age of 79.

The Frankfort, Indiana native made 98 national starts across a USAC career that spanned from 1982-2006, predominantly in his own Pletch Pools #29.

His incredible drive from 21st to 1st to win the Indiana Sprint Week round at Terre Haute in 1999 (with a flat right front tire) remains one of the most iconic moments in USAC history.

He even called his shot earlier in the night on the ESPN2 broadcast, saying "I can win it from the tail, good lord willing."

What a way to get your one & only career USAC victory.
