@3xchair@kevin_smith45 Oddly, also similar to the tactics used by resistance group "OTPOR!" against Slobodan Milosevic in Yugoslavia in the '90s (which I've been researching for work). Non-violent struggle through humor against an out of touch entrenched regime.

A great point and also true of academics. The puzzle in entertainment is also why the people who just want to make money seem to have given up on supporting that. If you had told me 10 years ago that Hollywood would leave money on the table for ideology, I never would have believed you.
