It was with great sadness today that I learned of the passing of Bill Kenwright, a titan of the industry, whom I was lucky to work with - but even more lucky to call a very dear friend for many, many years. With love to Jenny, Lucy and everyone else who loved Bill, -Michael.
Sitting across from Michael was always a thrill & a treat because you knew you were being interviewed by one of the best-a true legend & professional in every sense of the word. A listener. Just like millions of others I tuned in every week. Sending love to dear Mary & the boys
It brought back such special memories and was certainly one of the most exciting times of my life. You can still catch it on BBC's iPlayer here - MC.

How lovely it was to have the opportunity to do an interview for the BBC celebrating the fiftieth birthday of “Some Mothers do ‘ave ‘Em” with my longtime friend Michele Dotrice. I can’t believe we have never done an interview together before now! [1 of 2]

It has given, I hope, audiences, for the last thirty-five years, an experience that will stay with them for years to come. I’m so grateful for the opportunity afforded me and I’m sad that I can’t be there with you all for your last performance.
Much love to you all
Michael

...and those from the original and truly special creative team and Broadway company who are no longer with us. What an amazing experience it was to work on such an extraordinary and magical piece of theatre. (3 of 4)

It's January 19th again, and that means a huge Happy Birthday from all of us to our dear Michael. We were all blessed the day he was born and have been doubly blessed with the amazing friendships that have come to us through him. THANK YOU, Michael! - Team MC
Ray was a “one off“ for sure and still people watch “Some Mothers...“ with their great grandchildren. Farewell, lovely man and thank you

His writing was the epitome of innocence and naivety. He gave me, as Frank, the most wonderful dialogue to perform, we traveled a very long journey together. [2/3]
