A GB News presenter repeatedly insists "there weren't riots" in Belfast last night... π³

Listen, if you know nothing about Northern Ireland might I suggest you think twice about going on television to discuss it or deciding to write columns about it? Because some of the rubbish being talked is astounding.
@letshaveye@JamieLukasC@Saraita101@yupya12@PaulGosling1 Thereβs literally footage and you need your head examined if you think racism exists on only one side. Can you not see how your orange/green lens isnβt helping what is already a dire situation.
@letshaveye@JamieLukasC@Saraita101@yupya12@PaulGosling1 Youβve literally just tarred all loyalists with the same brushβ¦ itβs a small minority of uneducated racists that are responsible - people from both sides of the fence were engaged in this abhorrent behavior.
If my political values were so threadbare, so lacking in any humanity, that where others see a tragic and barbaric attack, I could only see an opportunity for political point scoring as base as this, I'd be ashamed, not advertising it for all to see.
π¨ NEW: The family of the Belfast attempted beheading victim has called for calm
"We have many migrants who make a deeply valuable contribution to our country. We depend on them to make our country work. We do not want this terrible tragedy to be used to divide people"
You see these scenes from Belfast?
That's our future if Reform, Restore, the Tories, GB News, Elon Musk and the right-wing media get their way.
Except this will be on a much bigger scale.
We have to decide: do we want those inciting hatred to destroy our country?
Last nightβs attack in North Belfast was barbaric, and people are understandably concerned and angry. I fully acknowledge these legitimate concerns and defend the right to peaceful protest, but the subsequent violence and destruction of property is completely unacceptable.
