I will be replying to everyone personally and giving updates on my case as they come in. Thank you for your support! WE DEMAND ANSWERS!! ❤️ #justiceforsirdavid
14 years ago on Monday I made my maiden speech in the House of Commons.
Being elected to Parliament was a life’s ambition and privilege - I’m grateful to have been voted into office four times representing Crawley.
On this my last day as MP, thank you, farewell and Godspeed!
This week in the House of Commons I questioned the Energy Security & Net Zero Secretary of State about cross-government work to secure a revenue support mechanism for sustainable aviation fuel, and further policy assistance for the UK aviation sector to reach net zero by 2050.
Tonight one of my last acts as MP was to post a parliamentary petition on behalf of my 12 year old constituent Tyler, who in 2022 was tragically killed crossing a road from his school. The petition calls for highways safety improvements on Crawley Avenue. (Pictured: Petition Bag)
In Parliament yesterday I expressed my gratitude to current and former British Armed Forces personnel on operations in the Middle East. I called for all veterans, who served in Aden during the 1960s, to be awarded a General Service Medal in rightful recognition.
@CllrPetesTweets Whether poorly researched or deliberately misleading, yet again this post misrepresents the truth. Henry voted to bar MPs charged with a violent crime from attending Parliament. (He voted against barring on arrest, stating that presumption of innocence is an important right.)
On a recent visit to the Egypt/Gaza/Israel border, assessing aid flows to civilians caught in the current conflict, I saw how getting assistance to those who need it, whilst not providing material to terror groups, is vital.
Today in Parliament I raised progress on this issue.
🏆 👏 Fantastic that @crawleytown won at Wembley to secure promotion to @EFL League One in front of over 17,000 supporters!
⚽️ ⚽️ Football is about the fans and always will be.
🥅 👍 My @Crawley_Obby column this week.

Long before becoming an MP I started campaigning for an end to the cruel live animal exports trade from Great Britain.
Possible since Brexit and which fulfils a 2019 @Conservatives manifesto pledge, I’m delighted it was passed by Parliament this week.

The UK Government is right to lead in supporting our aviation industry to decarbonise via Sustainable Aviation Fuel development - in the House of Commons earlier I called for greater certainty over revenue support mechanisms to ensure security and supply of domestic production.
I was pleased to be on a panel with my West Sussex MP colleagues Mims Davies and Sir Jeremy Quin for an Institute of Directors question and answer business breakfast session, discussing regional and national economic issues.
Sincere thanks to the US Ambassador to the UK for hosting Foreign Affairs Committee parliamentary colleagues and I at her Winfield House residence earlier where we discussed Middle East and Indo-Pacific security, AUKUS, Diego Garcia, plus upcoming transatlantic elections. 🇬🇧🇺🇸
On Friday I was pleased to visit the Self Defence Centre Community Interest Company based in Tilgate, providing courses on techniques and advice to people to keep safe.
Recently the pupils of Larch Class at Three Bridges Primary School eloquently wrote to me about the welfare and protection of endangered species - an important issue that I asked the Nature Minister about today on their behalf in Parliament.
