Exceptionally nice accommodation

We thank you for the great time and wonderful stay at Crayfish Lodge. The fantastic location just above the sea, with unobstructed views of the beach and whales. It is an exceptionally beautiful and tasteful accommodation that is second to none due to the carefully selected decoration in a modern, architecturally harmonious house. Our Panorama Suite was a dream with sea views that left nothing to be desired. The very extensive breakfast with fresh smoothy, fresh egg dishes and lovingly arranged treats, was something for connoisseurs.
We felt very comfortable and especially the private atmosphere, unlike in a hotel, was very pleasant. Thank you, not only for the good culinary restaurant tips reserved for us, but also for recommending nature and the beach walk with whale watching. This has made us richer with a special experience.
We are infected by South Africa and will definitely come back, to which Crayfish Lodge has contributed greatly with the kindness of its owners and all the staff.

Wonderful lodge with magnificent sea views - “A piece of paradise in De Kelders”

I was there the for the second time. Now that the owners have completely remodelled it, it has become even more exclusive. The lodge is located in De Kelders, on Walker Bay – ideal for nature and sea lovers. From there you can watch whales (in season) and enjoy the coastal landscape. The beach can be reached in a short walk through the Fynbos. The accommodation is unique and the breakfast an absolute dream. There was nothing missing and you could place an order the day before for what you especially like for breakfast and that was then also organized from the local bakers and butchers. The rooms and bathrooms (huge rain shower) are exclusively equipped and you even have a bidet which is especially important for me. In the evening we enjoyed the sunset with a delicious glass of wine (chosen in the in-house wine cellar), the view was unique. Very difficult to describe in words. And when it got cold outside at dusk, the fireplace was turned on for us and a cheese platter was presented on the house. I will definitely come back and can highly recommend this accommodation. The hosts are so friendly and welcoming that you feel like you are visiting family.

Highly recommended, luxurious lodge where everything is just right: Location, facilities, care

A wonderfully located, perched above the coast, newly renovated lodge. The view over Walker Bay, which is the playground of many whales during whale season, is unbeatable. Not even a handful of suites, all impeccably maintained, allow the guests to feel absolutely exclusive. Everything's right here. For the two hosts Sandra and Reinhard and their highly trained crew, the warm care of the guests is the top priority. This succeeds so well that you do not want to leave here at all.
