@tactixology But after he said this the manager goes into full preaching mode talking about Sir Alex, Rooney etc.
You wonder if there's a disconnect there.
@RedMarrow_ Here's another thing as well. Bruno and Licha are calling out very clear recruiting and tactical issues. Bruno has also said that United dwell on the past too much.
So what does Carrick do? Full nostalgia mode, talks about Fergie era, Rooney etc, the grand club legend speech.
@FPLfrasier Many fans are suckers for club legends making emotional speeches. But then you see clips of Bruno being "too emotional" doing the rounds as well. End of the day it all needs to be shown on the pitch really. Or its all for show.
@FPLfrasier I'm not sure he lit a fire at any point. That press conference, so many were moved. But I see a manager fighting for his job. We've yet to see if he knows what to do going forth.
@AliceTalksFooty And that Milan side is ahead in the league of Como who just beat us 4-1.
Instead of understanding the pros and cons of what each manager brought, fans lime this want to point score in the name of preventing revisionism.
@FPLfrasier I'm game if fans understand he will also call out the players. We don't want the United DNA fans lecturing him on how he can't throw anyone under the bus and demand another nice guy manager.
@FPLfrasier I know he's not the most inspiring option but he's not as bad as many claim. He'll have a few things that we have needed for a while. Before Iraola he already had Bournemouth playing well.
@RedMarrow_ I mean if he's still picked for the game Carrick is finished. Maybe the positivity and United DNA crowd will call it " man management" if we win.
@AdamJoseph No one's asking for him to come back, it would not be right. But maybe he was due a lot less disrespect and was right about a few more things than given credit for. Bruno Fernandes was close to Amorim, and is now calling Carrick out. There's a lot more we don't know perhaps.
@RedMarrow_ I think for Carrick personally this is damaging. It's not like he's a Sean Dyche or Moyes. He's actually from the same generation as Fabregas, and he's been made to look a complete dinosaur here.
@RedMarrow_ His time at United is mainly about wanting to prove Jose wrong, and then every time a new manager is in he praises the new regime, offering unspoken digs at the earlier one.
@FPLfrasier He never did this while finishing 15th under Amorim so yes, it is shocking. I think a lot of fans underestimated the backing that Amorim actually had with the players. Too keen to portray him as destroying everything. Only to see worse now.
@iamgaurav_92@FPLfrasier I do not believe that. He played centre midfield under Amorim and did a good job. This was the only time a coach tried to build a system and give him a role in it.
