Notice that star, high in twilight skies after sunset? It's planet Venus. Meanwhile, the newly-birthed thin crescent Moon arrives — the start of Ramadan on the Islamic calendar. For the next few days, the Moon will sashay past Venus. The pair, an enduring symbol of the religion.
This is one of my favorite pictures and I want to remind you all to call your mom, hug your friends (after quarantine ya nasties), and let people know that you love them!
@DrKnockers23 If you’re interested, look up “wet markets.” In these specific wet markets people are allowed to slaughter the bats/other animals in the same place they sell them. So blood and feces from slaughtered animals drips through cages onto other animals that will eventually be eaten.
@DrKnockers23 I would defend what they’re saying about the TYPES of meat. People can eat whatever tf they want, “normal” is subjective in that context. However, the storage/preparation/treatment of their meat is an entirely different story. “Hygienic practices” are completely up to judgement!
@DrKnockers23 @Brownbear1020 @NKeal1 Don’t sleep on district 1 tho. All those mfs do is ride horses in the mountains, wrestle, and shoot rifles. Not to mention their ability to resist freezing cold temperatures could make a serious difference in a long, best of 7 series.
