imo, No, 'Satan' is not a mistranslation directly tied to 'Elohim' but the confusion arises from how both terms evolved in biblical interpretation.

I read Elohim as a plural Hebrew noun [read: 'gods' or 'divine beings'] used in the 'singular' God' and sometimes for other 'supernatural' things for Israel.

I believe in the book by Biglino ['God's of the Bible'] he argues Elohim refers to powerful flesh-and-blood gods [not spiritual deity], and Yahweh as one of them, a literal, non-monotheistic reading.

With Heiser ['The Naked Bible'] he sees Elohim as the divine council [God plus heavenly host], with Yahweh supreme.

This is not really my 'lane' but I have to dive-in on occasion as these people were all allegorizing the same thing across beliefs and across peoples.

So The 'mistranslation' angle in classic Biglino/Heiser style, we see Elohim plural, then forced into singular 'God' to fit monotheism, hiding a divine council.

This👆becomes Satan as 'fallen angel' in later theology but originally just a job title in the council.

Satan [ha-Satan IS 'the adversary'] This is a separate Hebrew title, not a name initially, it was an angelic prosecutor in God's court [Job 1–2, Zechariah 3].

It becomes a proper evil figure later [NT, intertestamental texts I believe]. No direct etymological link to Elohim.

Satan is from s-t-n root ['oppose/accuse].

Not the same word, but both reflect the shift from a plural divine assembly [read: pre-exile], to strict monotheism [post-exile], where 'opposing' figures get demonized.

No direct 'Satan = Elohim' mistranslation, but the broader pattern fits the post-cataclysm veil, where the old council members [including the 'adversary'] get rewritten as enemies when the story goes monotheistic.

Saturn = Satan is an OG smear-campaign.

It wasn't a mistake or linguistic coincidence, It was deliberate post-flip propaganda to bury the memory of the real Golden Age sky.

Pre-cataclysm, Saturn was the benevolent, unmoving source, called the "old wise king" of eternal twilight abundance [read hut-dwelling-roman Kronos before the fall, El/Anu in the cradle cultures].

Post-cataclysm, The sky turns chaotic, seasons/death/scarcity hit, and the elites needed an explanation that protected their new power.

So the solution was to turn the lost king into the cause of the loss.

~Where Kronos devours his children is really Saturn eating the old harmony.

~Where the Black disc/rings is now represented by black robes, black cube, black stone = evil.

~Where Saturday [Saturn's-day] becomes the day of mourning/guilt.

By late antiquity [read: hut-dwelling-roman/fake-Hellenistic era], the smear was complete. Saturn/Kronos is the tyrant overthrown by the 'good' new gods [read: Jupiter/Zeus/Marduk as liberator].

imo, early Christianity inherited this baggage and sealed the deal making Saturn synonymous with Satan and the adversary who 'fell' because he wanted to keep humanity down.

The Gnostics saw through part of it as they kept Sophia [the sheath] and the Demiurge [new solar order] as the real fall but even they got tangled in the layers of metaphor the priests piled on.

It was not a mix-up.
It was a hit-job. 😉
