🎥More than 2,600 visits were made to screenings, workshops and events, or to try out film making at The Burr of Berwick – a former empty shop transformed into a free exhibition, screening and events space as part of the @berwickfilmfest.
Today sees the launch of a new Cultural Resource Hub in Berwick-upon-Tweed! Supported by funding from Create Berwick, @TheMaltings has opened a new space at 14 Hide Hill to provide an exciting series of creative sessions and workshops for local people and visitors to the town.
An empty shop in Berwick was transformed into a space for screenings, workshops and events, as part of the @berwickfilmfest.

The Supporting Grassroots Music fund is funded by @ace_national & @DCMS and is designed to help secure the sustainability of the grassroots music sector.
.@berwicktrust, Create Berwick, @N_landCouncil celebrated the groundbreaking of a £900k project that will transform the Old Brewery in Tweedmouth into the Old Brewery Workshops - a space for local artists, teaching, and training that will benefit everyone in the town.
The installation was our first major art commission and was produced by the Maltings Berwick Trust for the Living Barracks Partnership. You can see all of this year's finalists on the #NECultureAwards website and the winners will be announced on 27 November - fingers crossed!
🎉Brilliant news today that Matthew Rosier's Berwick Parade, which transformed Berwick Barracks for three nights in February and March, is shortlisted for a North East Culture Award!
