@walsh_olwy49662 In 2025 the Irish government spent;
1. €1.2 billion on IPAS accommodation.
2. €6+ billion on NGO funding.
3. €800 million on foreign aid.
4. RTE €225 million as part of the €750 million multi-year bail out.
Take your pick.
Shame. What a disgrace, to deploy own own @defenceforces against our own Irish peaceful protestors. The same cretin politicians who have abused the Defence Forces for years. And to parade out the Chief of Staff for this show, utterly disgraceful.
€36 billion!
Tax Boom continues.
But at some point we need to stop and ask where is all this money going ??
Irish people are poorer in 2026 than 2025.
Highest taxes in EU
No infrastructure
Highest mortgages rates
Highest energy costs
Housing shortage.
What the hell is going on?
@theallinpod How do you reconcile the bullish optimism of @howardlutnick and @scottbessent34 with the caution and concern of @RayDalio?
Such credible people but seemingly contrasting outlooks. Would love you guys to explore this on the @theallinpod.
More than two weeks after the alleged sexual assault of a 10 year old girl sparked unrest in Citywest, a local restaurant has not been allowed to re-open. Owner Camilla Grey spoke to Gript.
Net Zero is economic suicide for Europe because we can't have these completely insane electricity prices for industry, nor for homes and private consumers. Serious people have to stand up and call this out; it's a combination of regulatory capture, vested interest and plain fear. Serious people know it's bullshit, they have a duty to say so. We have a civilisation and the industrial base it depends upon to save.
€721 billion. Gone. Torched over ten years. Day to day spending shot from €50bn in 2015 to €96.6bn in 2024. NGOs, IPAS, Ukraine, lobby groups, all got fed.
The workers who actually fund this country got nothing. Then they had the gall to say they “can’t afford” to raise the tax band. Your minimal cost of living bump is gone. Fiscal drag. A tax hike without calling it one.
This is far left politics in action. Every single party in that Dáil is at it. They will keep spending until they run out of everyone else’s money. They will squander our billions on everyone and everything except Ireland and the Irish people. There is no centre right in that Dáil. None. Every budget and every piece of legislation proves it.
Unless a real centre right movement emerges, Ireland is finished. We’re out of time.
Today is a good day to remind people of the following facts.
In 2014, government spending was €54billion. This year, government spending will be €105billion.
Very little of this extra €51billion was spent on making hard-working people's lives better.

@albertdolan_ Fair play. Fantastic initiative. Great to see this level of transparency for the people’s money. Next step, reduce government spending and focus on core responsibilities.
I’ll be spoiling my vote as @declanganley suggests. Three variations of the same leftist ideas is not a choice. So much of the electorate ignored and disenfranchised with this. A sad day for democracy and for Ireland.
Left-light, Left-light, Left.
The Irish Presidential ballot, as blocked, curated and fixed as an Iranian presidential ballot.
You are presented 3 options, of the same thing. And they have the balls to call it democracy.
The most effective thing you can do on the day of the vote is go and cast your ballot as a protest vote. ‘Spoil’ the ballot by filling in an ‘X’ beside the three government authorised candidates and hand write ‘1. Maria Steen’ (or if you prefer, any other words of protest or name, or doodle) in big letters across your ballot paper. Cast the ballot in the ballot box. Your ballot will be counted as a ‘spoiled’ vote and the total number of spoiled votes will be announced. We need to send a tsunami of ‘spoiled’ protest ballots and expose this fake-democracy for the farce that it has become. #SpoilTheVote25 🇮🇪☘️
Maria Steen has just secured 10 nominations from the oireachtas, she is half way to getting a nomination to be in the presidential election. Maria would be a fantastic president.
