Everywhere I look there are humans complaining about the AI in their feeds.

Yet, when I post a real human written opinion or question, I maybe get 4-5 comments. Maybe couple hundred views.

Then I ask AI to write a post, dozens of comments, 50+ likes, 20+ bookmarks, thousands of views.

Humans are not rewarding humans for being human! Yet, you’re complaining about AI.

Like, literally this week I tried to make everything I did here human based. Because I genuinely want human to human interaction to win.

Worst week in months for my analytics.

Watched friends posts that I knew were AI written SOAR past mine with 41k views, 140k views, etc.

So really… humans… which is it?

Do you ACTUALLY like human posts better or are you maybe prone to not care as much as you think you care.

Like this post… I’ll be shocked if it gets more than 800 views.

1. It makes humans look honestly at themselves (not viral)

2. It was human written, but not in any sort of algorithm gamified way, just thoughts (not viral)

3. It shares stats that AI beats humans in split test (not viral)

Here’s what I think is ACTUALLY happening.

Your average experience on social media is seeing some cool posts, trendy, value bombs. You’re bookmarking them, liking them, commenting on them. Trying to be first commenter. Trying to be seen, picked, hired.

But because AI is still quite new and white hot popular you’re also seeing some terrible AI slop everywhere. So you complain about those.

While forgetting you just clicked like on 4 posts that were written by AI or about AI.

My split test is done. I’m getting out of my own way. Hermes is going to take the lead and I’ll bet you a leather-skinned Bible that my analytics go 📈

A few will pout and unfollow, but the amount of new follows I’ll get from AI being able to write in that algorithm gamified, trendy, value bomb way 🤮 3x a day with no days off will bring in 10 new followers for every 1 unfollower.

And for my own need for human to human interaction, I’ll stick to text messages with my friends, schedule more Zoom catch up calls, and invite locals over for dinner.

It’ll be easy with all the free time I save not having to write social media posts. 🤷‍♂️
