Remember when we weren’t even allowed to use Wikipedia for our school research papers?
But sure, let’s all outsource that annoying critical-thinking part to AI and let a billion-dollar tech monopoly tell us what the right answer is.
What could possibly go wrong?
@DavidKastille@Romudeth No one owns an idea. Intellectual property isn’t ownership of the idea itself. It’s protection for how that idea is expressed, used, branded, built, designed, written, recorded, packaged, or turned into something identifiable, novel, distinctive, or unique.
Say it with me people:
LLCs and corporations are entity types governed by state law.
S-corp and C-corp are different entity tax treatments under the tax code.
Different entity types default into different tax treatment, but you get some choices, too.
Hence, the oft-repeated distinction “LLC vs. C-corp” indicates a misunderstanding of the meanings of the terms. The distinction is between LLC and corporation, and either entity type can be treated as either an S-corp or a C-corp for tax purposes (depending on a variety of details).
10/10 recommend. Also Drake’s “Nice for What.”
I have an entire “Respectfully, f**k off” playlist curated specifically for those moments when I’m in my feelings about going the extra mile for people who don’t reciprocate.
I listen to it on loop for about 24 hours, as loudly and dramatically as possible, in my car, at the gym, in the shower, etc. until I’m annoyed by my own angst and ready to rejoin society.
Tennessee Republicans redrawing the congressional district map to carve up Memphis is giving “mommy and daddy bought enough tickets to stuff the ballot jar so I could say I won Fall Festival King” energy.
Nothing says “democracy” like changing the lines when the will of the people gets inconvenient.
Low-key embarrassing for y’all.
Just rewatched Black Mirror’s “Hated in the Nation” episode from 2016, and in 2026 it feels more like a documentary than dystopia. Autonomous AI with no human oversight. Facial recognition and mass surveillance funded by the government. All pitched as public good.
We should be paying attention. It was way too damn accurate.

Unrelated, but related, this Command X app lets me cut and paste files and folders as a Mac user 🤌🏼💋 and the guy who created it is my hero. I don’t want to copy and paste files, I don’t want to move files, I want to CUT and paste them using the Mac equivalent of Control X. https://t.co/iGcLkLcDma
THIS. I’ve been saying this. When AI companies claim they want to “institutionalize proprietary knowledge” and “streamline complex internal workflows” through “customized, trainable models” that ingest firm’s historical documents, templates, and procedures…babes, that’s not ultimately for your benefit. It’s for theirs.
