Anyway in other news I’m working on a comic and will be gradually sharing bits and bobs about it as I also prep to get it either officially published or go indie with it
First bit and bob is this here banana land shark
What’s that about?
Me and @FridayTheV are doing a donothon for our cat Beans! She’s been having an allergic reaction to some fleas she got from Fridays mom’s dogs. Money will cover vet visit, treatments and medications, and preventative treatments for Beans and our other cats.
Gentle reminder that most disabled people can’t leave the US. Countries don’t want to take in disabled, chronically ill & “high cost health users”. There are serious financial barriers to moving - leaving most people behind
Spare a thought for them tonight - people are scared.
I do share AmaLee's sentiments. And I feel there is a lot of context to take in.
Business wise, it's hard to abandon X(Twitter) as a platform. The user base is vast and established. It's also a habit for a lot of users to check in on it. Amongst other reasons, the platform still has value for now.
But, just like being a creator on YouTube or Twitch. It's best to diverse your presence. It's hard work, and social media tools like Hootsuite or Buffer can help with managing multiple platforms, but I do recommend keeping up with other spots.
My goal, is to still use this platform in a more limited manner. Meaning not using certain images or certain videos until their TOS is reverted from their AI changes.
It's frustrating, and I once more share Ama's thoughts. But I feel it'll be less of a mass exodus but more of a trickling immigration to a new platform.
