ADP (Automatic Data Processing) is a major provider of payroll and HR solutions ๐งโ๐ผ๐ป.
ADP Payroll processing ๐ฐautomates the entire process, from calculating wages, overtime, and deductions to distributing pay via direct deposit ๐ณ or checks.
This is why I'm not putting much stock in the ADP estimate of employment growth.
Historically it has not been a very informative indicator of month-to-month changes.

The U.S. Treasury manages federal borrowing by issuing securities to fund government operations and cover deficits. ๐ฐ Wealthy individuals and institutions buy these securities. ๐ฆ The government pays them interest, with costs rising as debt grows ๐.
The rich used to pay higher taxes to the government.
Now, the government pays the rich interest on a swelling debt, caused largely by lower taxes on the rich.

Is your Memorial Day barbecue more expensive this year?
Maybe because just 4 firms control 85% of the beef market, 66% of the pork market, and 54% of the poultry market.
Minimal competition means maximized price gouging.

Now it devotes disproportionate time and resources to work on climate change, gender, and social issues.
These issues are NOT the IMF mission.

A 2022 National ๐๏ธPark Service (NPS) report indicates visitor spending in communities near U.S. ๐บ๐ธnational parks supported $50.3 billion in economic output nationwide.
For every $1 spent by the Parks, they produce $15 in economic activity. It is less than 0.067% of all federal spending.
Parks have a huge economic multiplier. They create platforms for substantial private sector activity (tourism, recreation businesses, etc.) while preserving public assets that appreciate in value over time. It's an incredible investment for the economy, and one we should keep.
