@vodafoneservice It shouldn't be. It's not Windows, haha.
I used to live in Hungary, internet from Vodafone HU, ex-UPC, a.k.a ex-Unity Media, i.e. same setup and a) it just worked, b) never had to restart the modem after an outage, which happened like maybe once, max 2 times a year.
@vodafoneservice It took ages to load the site during the night through a 0.03Mbit mobile internet and the site showed no known problem, while both cable and mobile internet was essentially unusable.
@chinmay185 Bash is nice until it isn't. Anything that is more than 10-15 lines - with error handling it's pretty easy to get over this threshold - I migrate it to Go or something similar. From that point on, I have properly typed inputs and errors and not parsing random strings.
@jessfraz I could go on and on, but would like to avoid any spoilers, so signing off on my rant here.
The visuals and some actors' performances are really good.
@jessfraz Depends on what you are looking for, but probably not.
tl;dr I don't even know where to start?!
I read the books and now it's basically become my hobby to suffer through each episode and then complain about it together with one of my friends.
@jessfraz The genetic dynasty was a nice addition, but most of the other changes I cannot validate, moreover I intensively dislike them. They even changed the wife of Hari Sheldon. Like why???
@jessfraz In the mainstream media, I've seen so many headlines, like "Oh, it's soo good that now there are more diverse characters and finally they have growth, just wow, best adaptation ever", and I was like "Are we watching the same show?"
@jessfraz Sometimes it feels like only one of the writers would have read the books and the show would be written mostly by the others, who only know the book from second hand.
@jessfraz They changed so many things, sometimes it feels that the writers just watched too many GoT. The story feels more and more unhinged and there are logical holes in it.
“Is everything normal now?”
“Well he hasn’t got religious mania, and he isn’t running around in a circle spouting Gilbert and Sullivan, so I suppose he’s normal.”
This is still my favorite quote from Asimov's I, Robot.
