@Luke_Pownall @james_luke08 @Final_Word_Pod @collinsadam Nope. Dennis Lillee was not suspended for two test matches.

What do you think of Gill's captaincy?

Of course Prasidh has done it over just 31 wickets, but the selectors and the team management clearly believe he has the attributes they are looking for https://t.co/PSpeiwmNGa

[Desi Cricket @Cric__Desi]

@james_luke08 @Final_Word_Pod @collinsadam Oh I remember plenty of occasions in the past when the Aussies escaped repercussions for their actions.

Like the time when Dennis Lillee kicked Javed Miandad using his foot.

Or when Justin Langer deliberately flicked the bails off the stumps using his finger and appealed!!

[Desi Cricket @Cric__Desi]

@james_luke08 @Final_Word_Pod @collinsadam We are talking about Jaiswal escaping stringent punishment for physical contact with a Sri Lankan cricketer.

If Jaiswal is ever caught cheating using a sandpaper on a cricket field like the Aussies, then he should be banned too!!

[Desi Cricket @Cric__Desi]

@james_luke08 @Final_Word_Pod @collinsadam Yes. Warner and Smith were banned for cheating. And rightfully so!!

[Desi Cricket @Cric__Desi]

@bigdaaawg1 @Final_Word_Pod @collinsadam Dennis Lillee has literally kicked Pakistan cricketer Javed Miandad using his foot during a test match in Perth.

"The body is sore, but it's a good sore because we got the win" - Arshdeep Singh after rare red-ball opportunity

[Desi Cricket @Cric__Desi]

So heartening to see cricketers from Jammu & Kashmir such as Abid Mushtaq doing well in the #DuleepTrophy.

It shows that J&K's triumph at the Ranji Trophy earlier this year was not a flash in the pan!!

[Desi Cricket @Cric__Desi]

Arshdeep Singh should be picked in the Indian test squad for the New Zealand tour.

We desperately need a left arm seamer in those conditions.

Unfortunately Khaleel Ahmed seems to have fallen out of favour with the national selectors of late.

Ravindra Jadeja has had his last 22 DRS reviews struck down as a bowler in Tests. Only four of them have turned out to be umpire's call 🤯

His last successful review as a bowler came in the West Indies' first innings in the Dominica Test in July 2023, with the dismissal of Kemar Roach

“Let’s see what rating the match referee gives the Mackay pitch. But Indian fans, don’t hold your breath. The Aussies are breathing comfortably already, knowing there’s absolutely nothing for them to worry about.” 🗣️

Sunil Gavaskar, in Sportstar’s latest column, questions the Mackay pitch after Australia vs Bangladesh finished inside two days and calls out cricket’s double standards over pitches 🤔

If India do end up winning this test series in Sri Lanka, I hope that this win gives them the confidence to prepare good batting pitches for the Border Gavaskar Trophy next year.

I wish to watch a BGT series in which every test match lasts for 5 days. No rank turners please.
