Middle order is also equally accountable that was a flat batting deck and 100 runs in last 10 overs is very achievable in today's game

Rohit was also slow during his first 70 balls. Gill was unfortunate to suffer from cramps and got out before he could accelerate, whereas Rohit did accelerate later. You can point out a few things about the top three, but they are not the reason we lost. The real reasons were the middle order and the bowling.

This is how you start when you are chasing a big target. But Indian openers in yesterday's match played 75 dot balls in 20 overs & kept playing at runrate below 6 till 25th overs, did personal statpadding & made India lose.

Middle order can't do anything when you play 75 dot balls in 1st 20 overs & ask your middle order to hit 6 from 1st ball.

& don't bring England scored 120+ in last 10 overs, England was setting the target & not chasing. India was chasing, yet openers didn't maintain the runrate. They left 280+ runs for last 30 overs to chase. India lost the match in 1st 25 overs itself due to selfish batting from openers!!

Ishan, Shreyas & KL's yesterday match won't even count as failures coz they had nothing to bat, they were just supposed to swing blindly from the ball 1 & get out. Nothing wrong with them, India lost due to statpadding at top!
