Hi Crime Watch , please hide my ID, I witnessed the collision of Jeep with the trailer and the Isuzu KB 300 at the scene(Mbare Magaba area). The Jeep and trailer appeared to be involved in a collision/side-scraping incident with the Isuzu KB 300.
Before the police arrived and could carry out their investigation, the Jeep with the trailer left the scene. I was able to observe the vehicle as it departed. The registration number, colour, or other identifying details I noticed are attached to the Pictures below

Hello. Please share and tag the Mayor of Harare and relevant authorities.
For the past 2- 3 days I have been seeing Uebert Angel and his entourage at Arcadia Community Park and afterwards the whole park was cordoned off and marked as a no trespassing zone as it is now a private property.
I then inquired only to find out that the park has been earmarked for the construction of Uebert's church. It's unheard of and would like to hear from the Mayor Jacob Mafume and the minister of Local Gvt Garwe if this is legal and what the council bylaws say about the preservation of community parks.
Residents are shocked and frustrated by the move that was never communicated prior to the arrival of the said gent.

WATCH | This video was taken along Charter Street, where Harare City Council officials, dressed in blue jumpsuits (worksuits) and travelling in two lorries, tried to chase away some guys selling fruits using carts.
However, the guys started throwing stones towards the municipal police. What puzzled me is that the council municipal police also started throwing the stones back at the vendors.
I would like to ask the Mayor if this is the expected conduct of our municipal police officers. I just imagined if that lady pushing the wheelbarrow was hit by a stone thrown by the council workers, would they be reprimanded for their actions?
I have had so many complaints about these guys, but if this is how some of them are conducting themselves, then as a country we are going nowhere.
There is a way these situations can be handled without resorting to throwing stones at each other. Council officials are expected to maintain order, not to engage in the same behaviour they are trying to stop.
The Mayor and council management really need to look into this.

We followed Chief Fortune Charumbira to the gold-mining area to witness first-hand his engagement with villagers at the centre of the gold rush. On the ground, we saw the traditional leader interacting directly with community members, listening to their experiences and taking an active interest in the mining activities taking place within his chiefdom. This is a modern reflection of the traditional role of African chiefs as community leaders and custodians of local interests; working alongside their people as natural resources become an increasingly important source of livelihoods

Hi. Please post anonymously. There is a school in Chitungwiza called Lighthouse Institute that is currently processing refunds for ZIMSEC examination fees. The school is telling students that they will no longer be able to sit for the Computer Studies examination this year. No clear reason has been given for this decision.
We tried contacting the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education for clarification, but we have not received a response. The Computer Studies examination is scheduled to start on 1 October.
Students were only informed yesterday, 29 September, that they would not be writing the examination, despite having spent months studying and preparing for it.
I have a child who is affected by this. We were told that if we do not want a refund, my child can sit for the examination in June 2027 instead.
I paid the ZIMSEC examination fees on time on 16 March 2026, only to be told yesterday that my child will not be able to sit for the examination this year.
We are appealing to the relevant authorities to investigate this matter and provide an explanation to the affected students and parents.

WATCH | Yesterday at around 7:45pm along Airport Road, this driver was behind me and kept pressuring me to drive faster than the speed limit for that road. He was also flashing his headlights at me.
He then suddenly overtook me and immediately braked in front of my car, forcing me to make an emergency stop to avoid crashing into him.
I became concerned that the driver and his passengers could be criminals trying to force me to stop. I quickly drove away for my safety .

Good day Crime Watch. Post me as anonymous. I have a sister who borrowed money from the following money Apps Mondi money, Celo Cash, Kupa loan, Hold cash. She started with small amounts till they increased and she ended up borrowing from 1 app to pay for the other App. Now she was sick and got admitted then calls started coming in.
Let me say those people are very rude and good at harassing. We offered a payment plan since their client acknowledges the debt but they refused. In the midst of it all I looked for all those Apps and they have no social media pages on Facebook. Upon checking her messages, all the money was paid to and from 1 agent number 050618 - GETSOL. These guys have no office locally if they have they refused with their office location wen we offered to pay cash. Their emails on their apps all bounced back meaning they dont exist.
These guys all communicate with Zambian WhatsApp numbers only. The loans themselves from Celo cash she borrowed $91 but actually received $60.97 the admin took $30.03 upfront and loan was to be repaid within 7days with an interest of $0.67 per day for late payment. My question is those who have been in the same situation how did you tackle the situation?
How does the law protect both the debtor and creditor without harassing the other party with nasty calls threatening messages. If it is an offence how do we report it to POTRAZ, ZRP, RBZ, EcoCash?

Dear Crime Watch. Is it not time for us as a nation to start a serious conversation about changing our right-of-way laws. Specifically, we should look at replacing our current "give way to traffic coming from the right" rule at intersections with the "first-to-arrive, first-to-go" system.
The "first-to-arrive" rule is already used successfully by other African countries and even our neighbours like South Africa, Namibia, Eswatini, and all the other normal countries in Southern Africa
I firmly believe making this shift would significantly reduce gridlock, decrease accidents, and save lives. Letβs be honest: our traditional "give way to the right" rule is no longer practical or relevant on Zimbabwean roads. It simply cannot handle the massive volumes of vehicles navigating our intersections today, often leading to endless deadlocks and frustration.

Hi Crime Watch. Please help us by sharing this story. There is an area in Mganwini, Bulawayo, which was originally a single plot. The owner, Godfrey Charamba Chirarapasi, later subdivided the land into residential stands and sold it to different people.
The plot had about 199 stands, and about three-quarters of them now have houses built on them. Some residents bought their stands around 2015, when the prices were between US$4,500 and US$5,000.
In 2021, Godfrey Chirarapasi borrowed US$60,000 from a man named William Hewlett and gave him the title deeds for the plot as collateral, despite having already sold about 188 stands to different people. He then failed to pay the debt he was owing and in 2023, Mr Hewlet then took Mr Chirarapasi to court. The judge ruled that Mr Chirarapasi now had to pay a total of around US$530,000 and plus 20% interest from 1 March 2021 until the debt is fully paid. The court allowed Mr Hewlett to recover the money owed to him by having the property seized and sold if the debt is not paid.
We do not know what to do because the value of the property and houses in the area is now much higher than the amount Chiraparasi owes. We are now afraid because we do not know what will happen to our homes.
Please help us expose this issue and bring it to the attention of the relevant authorities who can assist us as residents. We are worried about what may happen to our homes and need help and guidance on how to protect our properties.

UPDATE | A driver who witnessed the hit-and-run accident says the vehicle that hit my car was a light blue Honda Fit, with balloon tyres and silver mags. This colour also matches the paint marks that were left on my car after the accident.
Witnesses say the driver was driving recklessly and had almost hit jersey barrier by the N Richards robots, climbed over the curb, and on getting back on the road that's when they hit my car and fled the scene.
The witness driver and another car tried to pursue the car but couldn't find it, and unfortunately, the registration number is still unknown.
To anyone with information concerning this accident, your assistance is greatly appreciated. My contact is 0774 585 705.
