@vyrroca Your style is so cute whaaaattt❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

[Goldeyebracelet @CrimsonPerceive]

@Peter10281 @vitaaeris @I_hate_najaf Well yeah Maomao made it clear many times she's selfish; she herself was close to getting stuck in that system. I'm sure as shit that's not her first time she young girls in similar situations. It's a dog eat dog world, she's jaded as fuck

[Goldeyebracelet @CrimsonPerceive]

@Peter10281 @vitaaeris @I_hate_najaf but at this point in the story she absolutely won't reach out to Lakan, she still hates him that much. I think this tweet said it best. Also where's in the novel did it make the parallel I remember Lakan taking ppl with talent but not much?

[PetraKore @PetraKore]

@transgoblin0v0 @vitaaeris @R0sekura I think with Maomao's connections specifically there is a better outcome possible which is if she asked Lakan to take them on as maids, but she's not in a mental state to be able to even write him a letter and from her POV, Verdigris is faster and more sure a thing.

[Goldeyebracelet @CrimsonPerceive]

@vitaaeris @Peter10281 @I_hate_najaf The thing with making this part a character flaw for Maomao is that we're perceiving it as such from a meta perspective. If the story didn't condemn Maomao even subtle then 1. there're other canon factors that rationalize the her choice 2. This is a oversight by the author

[Goldeyebracelet @CrimsonPerceive]

@vitaaeris @Peter10281 @I_hate_najaf The novel didn't shy away from the horror, that fucking sucks. I hope the anime don't cut that part of if it ever gets to it.
What I noticed is that the story never mentioned any alternatives for these girls. Didn't say how Maomao could have helped differently, nothing

[Goldeyebracelet @CrimsonPerceive]

@Peter10281 @I_hate_najaf @vitaaeris Thanks but ya could have been helpful and pull this out in the beginning buddy

[Goldeyebracelet @CrimsonPerceive]

@Peter10281 @I_hate_najaf @vitaaeris I looked it up due to curiosity but yeah she started at 15 and judging by the conversation that could be the common age to "debute" in the TAD universe. It didn't say anything about what "taking clients" actually means though

[Goldeyebracelet @CrimsonPerceive]

@dzyunkau3 More like getting them from dangling off a cliff to standing near the edge of it but yeah she wasn't a savior so to say. Admittedly she did help.

[Goldeyebracelet @CrimsonPerceive]

@Peter10281 @I_hate_najaf @vitaaeris What does "working with clients" even entails here? You seem to jump to sleeping w them but if she fills in for Meimei then she likely play chess or go, sing and other things since Meimei is one of THE big three.

[Goldeyebracelet @CrimsonPerceive]

@Jodelka_Drzewna @vitaaeris @Peter10281 @technodry1 @queersanta @igotpoisoned Right, she's not Loumen and she made it clear in the beginning she's not one to give handouts. People think helping someone out is simple, it's not. She's a good person deep down yes but she's not generous nor nice. She had always wanted to keep it down low as much as possible.

You know when you’re minding your business and then the Steel Samurai theme from Ace Attorney starts playing in your head on repeat

Please don’t skip this 😭

[Goldeyebracelet @CrimsonPerceive]

@aam1mi This is the most aura farming in this series of aura farmers

[Goldeyebracelet @CrimsonPerceive]

@Vivi_314159 @roradotcom Really? Because his clan rebelled so I'd think the government want him and his entire family dead, like eradicated, not protected. It's by Jinshi's mercy that they live in secret. The other children are locked in in Ah-Duo's place. Chou-u gets to live outside bc he has amnesia

[Goldeyebracelet @CrimsonPerceive]

@Vivi_314159 @roradotcom I need to watch the ep again but Chou-u specifically is the odd one out of those kids, isn't it? There's no obligation to get him a fancy life just because he's from the Shi clan. If anything him being alive and with a home is a miracle for a Shi clan member.

[Goldeyebracelet @CrimsonPerceive]

@FizziBerry So classy

[Goldeyebracelet @CrimsonPerceive]

@fabledintime @ihatejinshi No but that's the first impression you get in the first few eps so you can get where OP was coming from in the original post. OP made the mistake of exaggerating their thought and post it on Twitter, in another post they said they weren't calling Jinshi a 'manwhore' but the trope

[Goldeyebracelet @CrimsonPerceive]

@fabledintime @ihatejinshi OP's obviously a new watcher and it's not crazy to understand why they might feel icked out by his behaviors since it's Maomao's narrative and to her at first he's just a pervert. It's not good that OP didn't register that Jinshi is a victim though and using"manwhore"is too much

[Goldeyebracelet @CrimsonPerceive]

@dzyunkau3 @vitaaeris Unfortunately, even though I love lesbian representation, Enen (about 20) is quite creepy towards Yao (16). I don't remember if she does this on purpose or if she herself doesn't realize how toxic she is. Their relationship makes me uncomfortable as hell
