On this day, in 1536, William Tyndale was strangled and burned at the stake for translating the Scriptures into English for the common man. His final words, “Lord, open the King of England’s eyes.”
For some people, worship is something to get done with and get out of the way so they can get on with the day and get on with their lives.
For Christians, worship is life.

Of all the great lines from Braveheart, I think this is the best one. It makes for a fitting application to political leaders on July 4th, and for church leaders every day of the year.
