Things that Schools should teach: 🧠
• Being wrong is not a bad thing.
• It's Okay to question what you have been taught.
• Grades aren't as valuable as skills.
• Understanding is more important than memorization.
• Making mistakes is Okay. Learn from your mistakes.
January: Be a month of new chapters, fresh starts, & clean slates. Help us to close our eyes to old ends & open our hearts to new beginnings...to release all that has been & make way for all that is coming...to fill the pages of this new year with love & laughter, joy & peace. 🙏🏻
Effective teachers don't focus so much on rules, but more on relationships, routines, & expectations. If you focus mainly on rules, you will spend most of the year enforcing them. But if you focus on relationships, routines, & expectations, you rarely have to defer back to rules.
Subjects that should be taught in school: active communication, conflict resolution, attachment theory, emotional regulation, nervous system awareness, and how to create healthy relationship dynamics.
Education needs a paradigm shift.

@elonmusk A lack of critical thinking skill is a major setback in a lot of educational systems. The fact that things like the flat-Earth and anti-science movements have gained such traction is very worrying for our society.
