There’s this 45 minutes favor provoking prayers by Apostle Selman on YouTube.
If you can pray it, please do!
I prayed it in a difficult season of my life for like a month and there was a shift. A lot of doors opened.
Something very interesting happened in East Legon today.
One rich man who was living abroad was dating this lady who lived at Dansaman.
Shortly after they started dating, the man started sending money to the lady to build a 6-unit, two bedroom apartment at East Legon on his behalf.
The lady was able to finish the apartments within 4-years and the man immediately let her move from Dansoman into one of the apartments she just built for him.
In fact, the man promised to marry her and even gave her a ring “to scare away other men”.
Unfortunately, 13-year romantic relationship (they were never married) recently came to an end and the man asked her to move out of the East Legon apartment. She refused to move and the man sued her.
Here is how the court settled or decided the case. The court said:
1. The man should pay to the woman Ghc200,000 as compensation for breaching his promise to marry her.
2. The man should pay additional Ghc20,000 to the woman to cover her legal fees (costs).
3. The man has no right to eject her from the 2 bedroom apartment (1 out of the 6 units) because…
4. The lady is has a beneficial interest in the unit she lives in (equitable). This basically makes her a co-owner of the unit.
5. The reasons the court have for making her a co-owner is as follows:
i. The man promised to marry her
ii. The giving of the ring to her
iii. Long term cohabitation
iv. The gave up her independence and relocated from Dansoman to occupy the East Legon apartment
v. The lady’s supervision of the construction
vi. The lady contributed her labor, time & effort to the relationship and the construction of the apartments
In short, the court basically said, you cannot invite someone to build a future with you, benefit from it, and then walk away with everything without compensating the other person.
I read the 45-paged judgement in the Agradaa case so you don’t have to.
Here is why her sentence was reduced from 15 years to 1 year:
We all know that Agraada was initially sentenced to 15years by the Circuit Court cos she invited people to her church & promised to give them Ghc100,000-Ghc300,000 if they gave her Ghc500+
Out of all the people she allegedly defrauded, only 2 testified and each of them gave her Ghc500 hoping to receive Ghc100,000+
Here is why the High Court reduced her sentence from 15 years to 1 year. The court said:
1. The sentence was not proportional to the amount involved. Like how can you sentence someone to 15years for fraud involving only Ghc1,000? Like come on!
2. Only 2 victims testified in court
3. Ghana’s Criminal Code does not have a minimum sentence for fraud. The court could have literally sentenced her to 1 day imprisonment.
4. Failure to credit pre-trial custody. The circuit court did not take into account the 32 days Agradaa spent in custody before she was sentenced.
I really doubt her sentence was reduced due to her wealth or political influence. The appellate court simply corrected a sentence that didn’t fit the law.
Growing up as a child, I thought I looked perfect. Then one day, someone pointed out that I had big ears. That’s when my insecurities began. I was laughed at, and at some point, people gave me strange nicknames about my ears in school 😂.

Functional depression is real. People work, joke around, and take care of people around them . But mentally they are drowning in their own thoughts and nobody knows it.
People are going through a lot, a little kindness toward someone can mean a million dollars to them. Be kind to someone today.
