The art debate in the server room got heated, but we officially picked an artist for Critical Fix! 🔥
❌ Option 5: Amazinx, but Too cute for IT chaos
❌ Option 6: Awesome retro vibes, but we feared some will say "AI"
❌ Option 2: Honestly, a little too yaoi for fixing servers 💀
@Bammie_Usanoda Ohh, うさのだ !!
Ah, my apologies! The illustrator didn't draw that. We loved the Easter eggs in your original sample so much that I actually edited the 'Shrinp .co' logo into some of our mockups just as an inside joke. I accidentally uploaded that edited test version by mistake!
We realized Critical Fix needed a dedicated IT department , So Miggza helped create our lineup.
Any resemblance to real sysadmins is coincidental. 😉
What's their names!?
Who do you think will break production?

@mr_breeze_og Thanks!
I think we will keep the brackets where they are (far sides, text centered) and have the title text change based on the card effect. We want the font and size to be uniform for all cards. So we will see what needs to be changed moving forward.
The verdict is in! 🎨
Miggza is officially the illustrator for Critical-Fix. From servers on fire to coffee-fueled chaos, they nailed the chaos vibe we like.
Thoughts on the new look? 👇

So we've decided to attempt making official Critical Fix Edible Thermal Paste...
Maybe it'll be a physical add-on for the Kickstarter, or maybe we will just get sick trying. lol

Just another workday at the office, trying to locate the missing thermal paste...
"[Redacted], did you eat all the thermal paste again? We ordered 40 more syringes..."
That's when we realized Critical-Fix needed to develop edible thermal paste!

We revamped the card backs! It was a darker, somewhat realistic circuit board. The new look is brighter and more artistic. It may not be as "tech-accurate," but it stands out more on the table. Which do you like better?

Miggza and the team at have officially locked in our card layouts.
We want to keep the theme fun, chatic and techy: color-coded circuit boards and lined note paper for the text boxes.
How is the layout looking?

Scrapped our prototype art.
We paid different illustrators for samples. They are helping us nail down the visual identity for Critical Fix.
If you were making the call, which style are you picking?

First public playtest of Critical Fix = SUCCESS
IT folks + Non-techies = surprisingly balanced chaos
Best quote: “This feels too real…”
Thanks to everyone who helped us break (and fix) the game!

Big day for us
Our first public playtest of Critical Fix is happening today at Pineapple Games in Asakusa.
We’ve been quietly grinding away, and now it’s time to see how it holds up in the wild
Lets see if the chaos is playable!
