I told you well in advance that extreme racism cannot be combated with the rule of law. The Constitution of the United States is clear and mandates that anyone born on U.S. soil must be a citizen by birth. The cheap excuses of a large majority, explaining that foreign individuals enter the country simply to give birth in this great nation do not constitute sufficient evidence to change the Constitution. In fact, it only reveals the darker and less humane side of those who call themselves patriots and conservatives, whom I repudiate. It is a mistake to think that 11 million immigrants who have formed families in this country, forging descendants for over 60 years and dedicating their loved ones to the service of this great nation, should all be measured with the same yardstick and labeled as criminals. The very wise decision of the Supreme Court sends a clear message to its own people that respect for human dignity is unbreakable. I hope that Republicans reconsider and rethink their ideas because the the other party is lurking very close.

I went to Cuba to document the humanitarian crisis and show life under 60+ years of communism and now amid the US blockade.
