@joannadangerfd france & spain probably the two best teams, with about 5-10 teams in a tier just below that who could absolutely win it all.
iraq, curaçao & new zealand are the three teams who seemingly stand truly no chance. everyone else *could* get past group stages.
@justarandomtax@thebears90@EuropeanBob26 the evidence consistently points to states with armed police having higher rates of violent crime. you can talk to AI all you want, it doesn’t change the truth
@justarandomtax@thebears90@EuropeanBob26 if it would provide compliance, why does the US have a significantly higher rate of violent crime than the UK?
the evidence suggests that rather than provide compliance, armed police increases the rate of crime, particularly violent crime.
@TSV7777@CDub53179504@BenTheBaneDavis i understand that you’re probably american but there’s more to the world than just what you personally see and know
@TSV7777@CDub53179504@BenTheBaneDavis forgive me (and i assume the fella with the irish flag as his pfp) for not being american, but global figures are obviously more useful as there is more data.
additionally, why start in the 1990s? why not go back to pre WW1 numbers if you want to actually review a trend?
@TSV7777@CDub53179504@BenTheBaneDavis this is (fortunately) empirically false. suicide rates have fallen. they’re still too high and trends are uneven, but the trend has been downwards over the past few decades.
