I think the crony monopolists like Loblaw who dominate the food market believe that people must continue buying their expensive products because they have to eat. And they are right. Jack up prices by 20%, and buyers drop by only 10% and thus sales grow by 10% which is all unearned profit.

The only reason these people get elected is because of the doubling of the BC government size over the years. Every easy, high-paying, and low-productivity job created brings in several votes for the NDP. So borrow money, bloat the government, and win elections. How fair or creative is this?

iChildren of the rich are generally skivers and losers who hate productive work. So when they fail in the real world or squander daddy's money, they are all bitter and blame capitalism for creating a competitive environment that made them losers. They think, if a rich person like me is a loser, then how can a poor person ever get rich under capitalism? Their empathy is misplaced.

Pffft not a problem. These companies are exploiting their workers. If they had not, they would be bankrupt by now! We don't need production in Canada. All this stuff can be imported. Why produce stuff in Canada and exploit the workers? Just print money and give that to the workers to import stuff. Canadian society will then prosper and all the billionaires will be forced out of Canada. Win-win.
