Scouting Report: Lonny Holland (Tri Cities Academy)
Player: Lonny Holland @thelonnn
Class: 2027
School: Tri Cities Academy @TcaBball
Height/Position: 6’2” | Guard
Evaluation:
Holland is a physical, two-way guard who already has a proven résumé as an All-Tennessee State performer. Offensively, he’s a versatile scorer who can create in multiple ways. He attacks downhill with good burst and balance, finishing through contact at the rim. Shows the ability to use shifts, counters, and baseline drives to get to his spots. Has a reliable midrange jumper and the confidence to stretch the floor as a three-point threat. Displays strong basketball IQ and understands spacing, which allows him to consistently find scoring opportunities within the flow of the offense.
Defensively, Holland is a high-level on-ball defender. Uses strength, lateral quickness, and anticipation to stay in front of his assignment. Physical enough to guard bigger wings, while also being disruptive against smaller guards. Has the potential to be a stopper at the next level with his combination of athleticism and effort.
Projection:
With his scoring ability, toughness, and defensive versatility, Holland projects as a guard who can make an immediate impact at the college level. (D3/D2) Continued development as a consistent perimeter shooter will raise his ceiling even further.
Player Evaluation – Ashby Chadwick @AshbyChadwick
Class of 2027 | 6’8” Forward | Tri Cities Academy (TN) @TcaBball
Physical/Frame:
Chadwick possesses a college-ready build with broad shoulders, good length, and natural strength. At 6’8”, he eats space in the paint and uses his frame effectively to establish position. Still has room to add muscle without sacrificing mobility.
Athleticism:
Runs the floor well and plays with functional athleticism. Shows good vertical pop around the rim and lateral quickness to defend in space. Strong two-foot leaper, finishes through contact, and rebounds with physicality.
Skillset:
• Rebounding: High-motor rebounder who secures boards in traffic and extends possessions.
• Offense: Comfortable in pick-and-roll and rescreen actions, understands spacing, and can step out to stretch the floor with a consistent three-point shot. Reliable finisher at the rim with either hand.
• Defense: Uses size and strength to hold ground in the paint, contests well vertically, and shows promise as a switchable defender against bigger wings and small-ball 5s.
Intangibles/IQ:
Displays a strong feel for the game and understands offensive schemes. Competes on both ends, plays within the system, and shows leadership potential.
Projection:
Already holding offers from Milligan and King University, Chadwick projects as a scholarship-level forward with upside. His combination of size, skill versatility, and paint presence should draw increased Division II and potentially low-major Division I attention as he continues to refine his perimeter consistency and add to his overall stamina.
Player Comparison: A blend of physical rebounding presence with developing face-up ability — projects as a versatile stretch-forward at the next level.

Players don’t get caught up in who’s getting offers and how many offers they are getting. Don’t compare yourself to others. Your time will come when it is ready. Don’t lose focus, don’t get discouraged and whatever you do NEVER stop working! Run your own race, it will make the success that much more special!
@AshbyChadwick@CourtneyHoops90@TcaBball It was actually 21-0 for the summer. 29-11 last year. Played IMG, Oak Hill, Wesley Christian, and Webb. Although I’m gone, I’m happy I could help build the program. Come see the Eagle Way! @CoachMugs_2
