Some of you may have heard that Mark Dever almost died about two months ago. Even after his life was spared, it wasn’t clear whether he would ever speak or preach again. I haven’t talked about it much and won’t even now because he and the church haven’t been talking about it much--at least not that I have seen publicly.
Today, however, is his first Sunday back in the pulpit at Capitol Hill Baptist Church, and it was glorious. He launched right into the sermon without even acknowledging his absence. In other words, Mark preached like he wasn’t the point. Not until the last three minutes does he reflect on what happened and give a stirring tear-stained invitation for sinners to trust in Christ and be saved.
The sermon itself is wonderful. He takes up the difficult question of whether the American Revolution was justified. He concludes that it was and gives a defense of it and the reasons outlined in the Declaration of Independence. But that is only the introduction. The main part of the sermon is an exposition and application of Romans 13:1-7.
I am so grateful for this message. I am so grateful that God spared Mark’s life and preserved his ministry. I am so grateful for Mark Dever. Hallelujah. Listen to all of this one.

Do you know Turkey invades Israel during the tribulation: Eze 38-39 (I think toward the midpoint)? So that would give us at least three and a half years and they're already preparing ..

It's an incredible (and exciting) thing to see a major broadcaster do a 10-minute story on *the* primary tribulation indicator ..
