Agility states in their investor deck that their goal is to bring their BOM from ~$125k to ~$30k.

Having the backing and experience of a company like Foxconn will be incredibly useful. I talk about this in my article here:

The only way they can reach this is through economies of scale. Their manufacturing facility, Robofab, has a annual capacity of 10,000 units a year. They've currently only built a couple hundred or so.

Foxconn has invested in @agilityrobotics 3 times, showing extreme conviction in the company. So, while Agility is a far ways away, a company with high behind the scenes visibility, such as Foxconn, doubling and tripling down is very positive in my opinion.

@HonHai_Foxconn is partnered with both. They plan to deploy @agilityrobotics in their US factories and @UBTECHRobotics in their Chinese factories.

If $CCXI proves to be the better humanoid, I wonder if that will open up opportunities in Foxconn’s Chinese based factories 🤔

I don’t think it’s fair to call a company that Amazon, Foxconn, NVIDIA, and more have invested in a shitco.

Agility is also the only Bipedal Humanoid Foxconn has invested in, which they will have invested money into twice at the time of the SPAC merger.

$CCXI is frankly dog shit and there's a reason they're going public via SPAC at $2.5B when all their peers are staying private at many multiples of the valuation.

With that being said, I fully expect it to have a manic episode run as the first publicly traded Western Humanoid OEM.

But there’s a world where 5 finger dexterous hands are never able to be built at commercial scale. If this is the case, Agility putting that part of the build out on the back burner so that they can log commercial hours, could be the winning strategy.

Additionally, the article writes how a robotic 5 finger hand with 5 motors can achieve about 20 degrees of freedom (DoF). A human hand has 27 DoF, which would require >20 motors, which is significantly more expensive and requires more upkeep.

20 DoF can be good enough for 90% of activities. Don’t necessary need to be more efficient than humans, they just need to be “good enough” to fill the labor gaps.

@agilityrobotics / $CCXI is right in the middle of the pack for valuation, although they are one of the most deployed Bipedal Humanoids on the market.

Digit has over 65,000 logged commercial hours (~7.5 years) across 9 customers. Those customers include:

And there are 30 more in the pipeline.

The competition is fierce in this category, but the market is potentially enormous. Even a small percentage of what could grow to be a >$5T TAM, over the course of the next few decades, could mean a multi billion dollar business.
