. @JDMahama has been making promises of a better Ghana since 1994. However, his track record reveals that he did not meet the expectations of the people of Bole as their Member of Parliament, and he also fell short in his roles as Vice President and President. A representation of packaged disappointments and let-downs, incompetence and corrupt overtures for Ghanaians. It's been 29 years of rhetoric without substantial results at all times when the opportunity has beto en offered him. Get involved and let's work together to ensure his permanent retirement in December 2024.
Watch below the full speech of President Akufo-Addo at Mepe today which NDC apparatchiks have tried hard to skew to score cheap political points.
“I came here this afternoon to express my sympathies and to commiserate with all the people in the Mepe area, I chose Mepe because this is the area that has been most affected.
I came here because Ghanaians are having difficulties and suffering and it is my responsibility to help, because if it is a question of who votes for me and who does not vote for me, I should not be here because you don't vote for me, that is not my concern
When I took the oath of office as president I took the oath of office as president for every single individual in Ghana, of all the people in Ghana, all districts whether they voted for me or not, once I have taken the oath of office I am the president of all the people.
When these things happen and government acts, politics does not come in at all. I took the oath of office as president to protect every citizen of Ghana, whether they voted for me or not, once I have taken the oath, I am the president. So Togbe, I want you and your elders and the people to understand that the government is acting for all Ghanaians.
The inter-ministerial committee is working in several phases with the immediate one being relief items supplied to victims. NADMO is going to continue to provide relief items and apart from that we are also thinking about the future.
We are also thinking about the future I am aware that you are farming people, farming on the banks of the rivers and the overflow has destroyed many farms, the Ministry of Agriculture will work and decide on the nature of support to offer in the long term when the water goes away
We have to also be very grateful for the work of VRA, the preparation they have been making over the years in such a situation, the simulation exercise, and all the things they have been doing to prepare for this including the sensitization. Because of the good that they have done up until now, by the grace of God, not one single individual has lost his life in this crisis” – President Akufo-Addo to victims of Akosombo Dam spillage
President Akufo-Addo's remark at Mepe was meant to decry the usual NDC politicization of issues occurring in the Volta Region, to further their false campaign that the NPP and its governments do not care about the good people of the Volta Region. The President simply said that he was not there because the people voted or did not vote for him, but because he is the President for all Ghanaians including the good people of Mepe.
President Akufo-Addo's remark is not the problem. He was responding and drawing attention to the divisive NDC's tribal politics to do with the pain and suffering of the flood victims...It is needless to weaponize the pain of the people for political advantage, but the NDC cannot help itself because that's all they have got to sell. Sad!

So the media want we Voltarians to forget about all the beautiful things the president said on His visit to Mefe yesterday and focus on their orchestrated negative. ?
Should we Voltarians be used as emotional cows always ? What the president jokingly which was in response to the negative comments made by former president John Mahama and Madam Gomashie and He said it whiles laughing .I saw the people also laughing with Him .
Why truncating His message just to stir emotions as always?
The President was very clear on His commitment in providing short and and long term solutions for the problem. I didn't hear the media echo that . Negatives only .
What Volta Region want is not some cheap emotional milk-downs . We want good roads , STEM schools, Factories, jobs , Hospitals and above all the president's commitment in resolving the situation. He promised to help provide solutions for the problem. That is what we must focus on .
The saddest part is when I saw these our lazy NDC MP's who are always on social media 24/7 but with no results in their constituency trying to play emotional card with the President's statement.
Volta / Oti Region won't fall for emotional cards any longer . We want development and nothing else. So far, the president has shocked we Voltarians with the developmental projects He is embarking on in the Regions. He is doing better than those who call us " their world Bank " .
We won't fall for emotional blackmails anymore !
