Some Year 1 and 2 children went to MFG to practice throwing, jumping and running skills. They enjoyed working with some other schools from the Mirfield area.
We would love if it some of your women's players could visit our school to inspire our children to understand why women's football is so important!
If you know, or can put us in touch with, anyone that may be able to visit school please let us know! #htafc@HTAFCWomen
This morning year 5 made some amazing wonder rooms as part of our English work. We have been looking at the book The Nowhere Emporium which the children seem to be loving 😄 @CrossleyFields
Here she is - 6SB’s hot chocolate hero! Our lovely Edith has smashed it this week. 💪🌟
Lion Award star, maths magician and future bestselling novelist! Well done! @CrossleyFields
We still have places available in our Early Years Reception for this and the next academic year. Anyone wishing to have a look round can call to arrange a visit.
Feel free to retweet :)
Year 4 have an Anglo-Saxon visitor today! They are learning about the history of Anglo-Saxons and the objects, and clothing that they would have used. They are also investigating the archaeology boxes, having a go at archery, and practicing their defences using shields!
Year 5 travelled back in time to the Ancient Greek era! We had a lovely visitor from Athens and Sparta, telling us about the democracy in both city-states, the games they played and lots more. The also children got to experience what the theatre shows were like! @CrossleyFields
This morning we were thrilled to welcome Team GB tumbler Jaydon Paddock to the school. Jaydon spoke to the children about his life as a gymnast, his early influences, his intense training sessions and his many achievements. We even watched as Jaydon completed a back flip!
We were delighted to welcome Bethany Walker, author of ‘Olly Brown, God of Hamsters’ to school yesterday. She delivered a fantastic assembly to KS2 and we even had a book signing in the library!
