He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city!
If you don't rule your spirit, you can take a city & put it up on the laps of a damsel and your throat slit by her.
I said earlier that “marry a kind person.”
Because if a woman is earning N5m and her husband is earning N100k, the answer shouldn’t automatically be “the husband should stop working.”
People are reducing a marriage to a salary comparison.
A job is more than income. It can be experience, connections, purpose, future opportunities, and personal fulfillment.
The better question is: What arrangement benefits the family the most?
If one person has to stop working, let the decision be based on circumstances, not gender or ego.
The highest earner doesn’t automatically become the most important person in the marriage.
A family is not a company. It’s a partnership.
