⚖️Crowborough Shield CIC has now issued a fresh judicial review against the Home Secretary, challenging a decision to use Crowborough Army Training Camp as accommodation for approximate 540 asylum seekers.

👐The community remarkably raised enough money to proceed with a new claim in just a few days.

🦾This is further evidence of how strongly this community feels about challenging the Home Secretary’s decision

Disappointing though not surprising that @wealdendistrict have chosen not to take action against the decision to use the Crowborough Army Training Camp as asylum accommodation.

It is a complete betrayal of Crowborough to not even obtain the full facts before making their decision.

At the very least Crowborough Shield will try to obtain all the facts before making a decision because that is the right thing to do.

⚖️Information on the claim....

This doesn't just affect Crowborough, The Home Secretary "will bring forward site after site" if she is not challenged.

It is VERY clear that the feeling in Crowborough is we want to continue to challenge the use of the camp.

The Judge made it clear ANYONE can bring the claim and we hope @wealdendistrict step up and take this forward.

If WDC don't step up, and we want to continue to do this, we NEED funds before Wednesday 4th March! After this date there is no further opportunity to challenge the decision to use the camp.

You have donated over £25,000 since Friday's decision which is AMAZING. We have £36,000 outstanding in legal fees and we need another £24,000 to cover the costs of additional prep work and submitting the papers.
