Croydon Communists attended the demo, which marched from Croydon University Hospital to the town centre. The anger towards Zionism and the imperialist states which back it was clear - as shown with the frequently changed slogan 'There is only one solution: Intifada, revolution!'

To fight against it, we need to build a revolutionary party - one that can fight to pose an alternative to the austerity of Tory councils, the 'managed cuts' of the right-wing Labour councils and the feet-dragging of many of the reformist union leaders.

After that, we participated in a local community meeting, Our Community, Our Conversation. We discussed the problems facing Croydon, possible solutions and the next steps we need to take to fight against the crisis facing young people in Croydon.

It was made clear - people are angry and are looking for revolutionary solutions.

The crisis facing young people is not merely a local issue, but a wider issue, a product of a decade and a half of austerity, itself a consequence of the crisis of capitalism.

We were out at Norwood Junction this weekend, bringing the ideas of revolutionary communism to people on the streets with the help of our paper, The Communist!
