So. Finally moved from the UK to the US. United put my art supply case on the WRONG plane. Went to file a claim for it & when asked "how much is the items in the case worth"...Gave a blank stare 'n said "Just my markers alone are more than $1000".

Guys are looking at $1790 here.

Granted this is 5+yrs collecting these. But—I'm pretty sure me putting an emphasis on the markers alone (not to mention the other stuff in my case) was enough to get United to get off their ass an get my suitcase back.
