@Bowe2738 I get why it looks weird from a Western view — seeing sexualized young-looking characters feels off.
However, Japanese manga is mostly for adults, not kids. Legally, as long as it obeys their local laws not involving real kids. They are allowed a lot more freedom.

@Bowe2738 It used to be 13. The USA already tried to get them to change it, which is why it's 16 now. Japan doesn't give a fuck about Western culture or values on this. Different society, different rules.

If it really bothers you, find a new hobby or don't engage with that content.
