## Testnet Development Update

**Prague/Electra fork**
- **More AI jobs per block.** Blob capacity went 6 → 9. At two blobs per job the ceiling rose from 3 to 4.5 jobs/block, and blob fees spike less sharply in a burst.
- **Gasless, one-click sessions become possible.** EIP-7702 lets a normal wallet delegate to a contract.
- **Faster validator onboarding.** Deposits are read straight from the block instead of one or two ~13-minute eth1 voting rounds.
- **New cryptography on chain.** BLS precompiles are live — aggregate signatures from workers or validators verify in a contract without a custom verifier.

**Inference** — serving `llama3-8b`, `gpt-oss:20b`, `qwen3-vl:8b` (vision), `tts-piper` (speech). Answers now stream from the worker as generated; read-aloud settles audio on chain as the answer.

**Chat**
- The model dropdown shows live workers — `N online`, `Busy`, or `Offline`. Models nobody serves can't be selected, so you never pay for one that can't answer.
- Liveness comes from on-chain claim activity, so dead machines stop being listed.
- Pin or avoid a worker, kept in your browser. Failed turns appear in the thread, and the fee is shown before sending.

**Costs & transactions**
- Activity page: every job you've paid for — model, status, fee, total spent, explorer link.
- Jobs page: full on-chain lifecycle. Past its deadline you reclaim the fee yourself — refunded, worker slashed.

**Infrastructure** — inference moved to dedicated hardware: AMD EPYC 64-core + NVIDIA A100 80GB, running two workers, each with its own stake. Settlement lands in 12–18s.

**Roadmap** — live status at https://t.co/iwbTYx2GgS. Answer streaming and the worker gateway conversion are marked done.

**Known limits** — the fleet is small, so a model can show Busy or Offline, and a turn can fail after its fee is escrowed. We're monitoring the logs. Hit a bug? Post it in the development channel with the job or session ID from the Jobs page — every worker log line is tagged with it.
