Flippening of BTC will not happen with a snap of a finger. Decoupling of altcoins from BTC needs to happen first. Decoupling means prices of altcoins surge if their ecosystem grows (# of active users, trxns, wallets, TVL, etc. growing) irrespective of what BTC is doing.

These projects have a long way ahead to prove themselves. I am not saying BTC & ETH will always be top 2. If flippening happens, it will be gradual, not brutal. But, I'll tell you what will be 'fucking brutal'. Aftermath of pumped metaverse/gaming tokens. That's for goddamn sure.

@marenaltman Your dad gave sensible advice. Unless it's 1% of your capital ie you have a $10 mn portfolio in crypto. Or unless it's a part of your profit. Don't kick yourself for missing out or you might fuck up next time due to FOMO. As long as you're making nice profits, all is well.

@marenaltman This means we will keep on doing 2x (3 months up) & then 40-50% fall (3 months down) until new money comes in the field for a parabolic rally. With old money to go parabolic, we need to fall by atleast 65-70%. Let's see.

@marenaltman For this to play out, looks like 40-42k is the local bottom. 48k or 52k could be local top. However, I also think that if it stays bw 40-44k level for about a month i.e. till Feb 7, then this is the bottom & we will rally for 2-3 months again.
