@bigpey@RareEvo@atriumlab Dang that’s tomorrow? Interested but won’t be able to make it. Any other ways to get involved?
Looking to launch our mainnet pool in the coming months. Nervous about getting that first million staked. Been keeping an eye on Atrium Staking Baskets.
I think we're at least close to the big scary chasm. Biggest hurdle I foresee is convincing the general public that blockchain technologies are actually beneficial to them.
Take gaming for example, like others have said, gaming could be a big player. The problem I see in the industry though is that a large majority of gamers are associating NFTs with in-app purchases and have an "NFT BAD" mentality. Honestly, this may be exactly what publishers want.
In my eyes, the most valuable use case for NFTs in gaming is game licensing. Back in the day, digital downloads weren't a thing. You bought physical copies that you could then trade-in for some money back. I did this countless times and bought more games with my proceeds. Today, publishers have a stranglehold (centralized control) on digitally downloaded games. They can manipulate the market and charge whatever they want.
As a consumer, you never actually own your digital games. You can't sell them, you can't trade them, you have no control. We should change that. I've given this a lot of thought and would really like to face this problem one day, if we could get a good community behind it... I imagine the big publishers won't be too keen on giving up control, so I expect many hurdles down that path unfortunately.
NFT game licensing FTW.
@DclayTlks That’s why Cryptarcs not launching until there’s day one utility. It’s been a grind working mostly alone to this point but getting so close now.
The SHADE pool is alive and producing on the preprod network.
Those who build during winter prevail in the summer.

Throwback: We dropped an early adopter's version of the sorcerers more than a year ago before pulling the plug on sales, in favor of building first. So much has happened since then.
There are 18 wallets with these NFTs. You lucky ducks are going to hit the air drop jackpot ...
