If there’s one thing building in perps has taught me these last couple years @avantisfi , it’s this: you need to get good at chewing glass.

There will always be projects with the flashiest cap tables, calling themselves the “XYZ killer,” claiming to be the fastest, cheapest, smoothest exchange out there.

Chewing glass is what happens underneath all of that; the long calls, the 18-20 hour shifts, the support tickets, with the same care on ticket 500 as ticket 1, obsessing over the small things

It’s talking to traders with patience. Understanding what they actually need. Building for them until they believe in it. Doing that every day, every night, regardless of market, price, narrative, or regulation.

I’ve come to actually like chewing glass.
