There is going to be a huge spike in crypto scammers copying code from legitimate open source AI projects, renaming some values, and slapping a token on top of it.

I've already seen people post about this happening.

The best way to avoid this is to check the commit history and make sure it looks legit (long history, many commits, multiple authors). Github stars can be somewhat botted so they're not the most trustworthy metric.

Another way to check for authenticity is to search file names and snippets from files to see if there's a match elsewhere on Github. Not as elegant of a solution, but it'll generally work.

In general, do some research before you ape into the next "open source revolution".
