It’s quite funny to see so many posts about the fear and greed index sitting in fear, when this has now been going on for close to 8 months.

👉 During a bear period this indicator brings no added value since the underlying trend is bearish.

Where it remains effective is during bullish phases, as can be seen on this chart.

⏳ Long-Term Holders start carrying losses (this has not happened yet — this is when the real bottom forms))

Additionally:
🔴 The bear market only ends when the STH Realized Price falls below the LTH Realized Price.
🟢 The bull market begins when the STH Realized Price moves back above the LTH Realized Price, after the bear market has fully played out.
