@PermissionlessM@_Kevin_Pham @tylerwinklevoss @rikuraisanen Dash is more akin to vote by per acre land ownership, so the comparison is busted. Democracy has it's flaws, but it does stick to only 1 vote per person . It's comparisons like this that lea me to believe you aren't that bright, so stop making them.
@PermissionlessM@_Kevin_Pham @tylerwinklevoss @rikuraisanen I think asic resistant POW coins are less centralized than most. The topic is dash's centralization BTW #whataboutism
@PermissionlessM@_Kevin_Pham @tylerwinklevoss @rikuraisanen I think most coins suffer from centralization, but the point here is dash doubled down on stupid when it made governance part of ownership.
Given how stupid dash holders appear, they probably rationalize it as the will off the people.
@HeyRhett@derose Meh, censorship resistance is mostly a misleading idea with open ledgers--getting your tx through doesn't mean you won't suffer consequences when people make judgements on your tx history, which can take the form of social shaming or punishment.
@PermissionlessM@_Kevin_Pham @tylerwinklevoss @rikuraisanen Your dumb or don't know what an oligarchy is--the point is that 1 vote against someone with thousands of votes is near pointless--IE the only way you are effecting change is if the oligarchs agree with you.
It's really interesting that crypto / blockchain / (in this case) distributed ledger solutions are appearing for micros now. IOTA support on the STM32 now available:

@tylerwinklevoss This is dumb, credit cards and cash are how people pay for things. The gold versus BTC argument is about which is a better store-of-value, and the only reason BTC moved the goal post to that usecase is because it sucks at day to day payments.
@PermissionlessM@_Kevin_Pham @tylerwinklevoss @rikuraisanen And voting is based on staked coins, so you just made an oligarchy where the oligarch's can get rid of their enemies and protect themselves.
@jwgealt @c___f___b Yeah, I'm talking about biased application of the rules to protect the status quo, which you just admitted to--don't be mad for me tricking you into admitting what's obvious to the rest of us. What's funny is how you've devolved into arguing like a r/buttcoiner.
@jwgealt @c___f___b Thanks for confirming your bias and that you ignore rules when you want. And yes, IOTA has been in the NYT and is >95% of the total M2M marketcap, so enjoys a bigger lead than BTC circa 2014.
@jwgealt @c___f___b Just because Monero gets no love on r/cc, doesn't mean BTC posts deserve to stay up while other coin's post get ripped down by the mods. Again, I was comparing it to BTC, not XMR, so stay on point.
@jwgealt @c___f___b That isn't the problem, the problem is mods trying direct the action with the uneven application of rules. If the rules were applied evenly, I'd never see 5 BTC post for every 1 of another coin. The sub is literally evidence of the mods' biases. #YoureTheProblem
@jwgealt @c___f___b I wrote r/cc, which is primarily a marketing sub--pretty sure you know the difference. Also, the r/bitcoin posts were people from r/monero brigading, so thanks for highlighting your hypocrisy.
@jwgealt @c___f___b Don't play stupid. How many skeptical topics have you created for Bitcoin or Monero in r/cc? I checked, none. Let's not pretend for a second there's nothing to be skeptical about BTC or XMR.
@jwgealt @c___f___b Lol, you'll turn a blind eye to Bitcoin having 10 topics while enforcing very generalized rules that depend on mod's personal opinion. This is the same thing the state does when it makes nuisance laws. And as far as you go, you've proven a bias when you posted IOTA fud in r/cc.
@jwgealt @c___f___b And it's a bullshit reason, otherwise BTC, Nano, VEC and half dozen other coins would be censored. Please don't make excuses for corruption, none of us watching are that stupid.
@jwgealt @c___f___b Thanks for seeing my point about ad hominem, now work your way toward the light further and see my point about censorship and abuse of power.
